This study determined the current practices of Villa del Prado in handling natural disaster crisis in terms of the following: political, economic, social and technological; the abilities of Villa del Prado in handling natural disaster crisis through communication, planning, coordination, responding to problem; and the strength and weaknesses of the practices of Villa del Prado in handling natural disaster crisis. This case study used the qualitative method, specifically, observation and interview as means of data gathering. Data were interpreted using thematic analysis. The researchers interviewed five respondents who were trained and knowledgeable on the practices of Villa del Prado in handling natural disaster crises and have the ability to handle those situations whenever they occur. The major finding revealed that Villa del Prado had the permits and requirements of the LGU. They had the medical records of their employees. Wise in using their resources, they had the capability to support the annual renovation of their facilities and the training of the employees for readiness and in overcoming natural disaster. Through the paved roads outside Villa del Prado, the beach can be easily reached; their vicinity also has 24-hour public transportation. Open seminars and trainings with crisis management experts were conducted in the resort for their employees and all the resort owners. Simulation and evaluation were also done weekly by the management in order for the employees to be ready and to remember all the trainings they have undergone. Results of the study also showed that the lack of technology for communication, like mobile signal, can cause a great harm and danger for the management, employees and guests; at times they received late warning messages from NDRMMC. The researchers recommended that Villa del Prado coordinate with the local government unit to get help and support for them and for the other local beach owners to improve their practices in handling natural disaster crisis; and for future researchers to assess the crisis management plans of the resorts and hotels all over the region of CALABARZON.
