This study, which was conducted during second term of the first semester of school year 2003-2004, focused on the acceptability level of processed food from durian seeds as alternative energy food. Using descriptive survey, two hundred selected participants responded to researcher-made questionnaires for their sensory evaluation of the processed food from durian seeds. Results showed that the four types of processed foods were equally acceptable to the respondents as evidenced by the non-significant difference of their acceptability levels. Durian seeds, if appropriately and adequately processed, provide a livelihood opportunity; offer an alternative food supplement and contribute to waste recovery initiatives.
