This study measured the relative efficiency of the eight branches of UM from 1999-2003. It determined the profile of the technical efficiency of UM schools in terms of number of employees, budget for enrolment campaign, number of enrolment and graduates. It assessed their technical efficiencies using Tobit Regression. Results showed that UM Tagum had the biggest number of inputs and outputs for efficient branch. The number of employees and age of school were identified as the sources of technical efficiency. The results also imply that there exists a room for improvement in the operations of UM branches.
