Effect of Intel Teach to The Future (ITTF) Training to the Level of ICT Skill of Practicing Teachers of the UM College Of Education

Abstract:

The study aimed to determine the effect of the Intel Teach to the Future (ITTF) training to the level of ICT skills of practicing teachers of the College of Education. Employing the in-group pretest-post test design, with the proforma ICT skills survey instrument from the UP National Institute for Science and Mathematics Education Development (NISMED), with mean, t-test for correlated and uncorrelated samples as statistical tools, results showed that the training conducted on technology integration in instruction was very effective in enhancing the ICT skills of the students. It is therefore recommended that the ITTF program be institutionalized, the intensive pre-service training be continued and the school be fully equipped with facilities needed for a technologically advanced curriculum to produce globally competitive graduates.
