Success Indicators and Financial Condition of Existing Cooperatives in Metro Davao for the Period 1998-2003

Abstract:

A survey-correlation type, this study analyzed the success indicators and financial status of four types of cooperatives in Davao City. Success was measured in terms of the managerial qualities of administrators, the level of satisfaction of members and the type of cooperative. The study revealed that the 498 member-respondents from 32 selected with the services provided by the educational attainment of its members significantly affect the financial condition of the cooperative. Results of the analysis will provide a benchmark for the creation of cooperatives in the adopted communities of the University of Mindanao.
