This study aimed to determine the significant relationship between service training and performance of education graduates among Teacher Education Institutions (TEI’s) in Davao region. Using descriptive-correlation as research design, two types of questionnaire as instruments, with mean, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson r and multiple regression as statistical tools, results showed that significant relationship existed between service training and teaching performance and that pre-service training had greater influence on the performance of the respondents than in-service training. It is therefore recommended that College of Education institutions should stress on the quality of learning experience of its students to prepare them for their future teaching careers. Furthermore, in-service training of teachers should also be strengthened to professionally prepare them for effective teaching jobs.
