Abstract:

The research focused on the common factors of absenteeism and tardiness when it comes to Related Learning Experience. It also sought to identify the demographic profile of the third and fourth year nursing students; the common reasons of absenteeism and tardiness; and, determine if the demographic profile of the respondents in terms of age, gender, year level, and time of duty is significantly related to absenteeism and tardiness of the students.

Findings revealed that the most common factors for students’ absenteeism were illness/accident, bad weather, and traffic problems while early schedule of duty, traffic problems, and laziness for tardiness.

It was also found out that there is a significant relationship between age and traffic as factors for absenteeism and between early schedule and time duty as factors for tardiness.
