The research study Web-based Emergency Vehicle Monitoring and Deployment System with GPS Locator and SMS Notification for Selected Barangays of Cabuyao, Laguna is designed primarily to provide a system that can help minimize the time it takes for the rescuers to attend to emergency situation, and to integrate the growing technology to provide an effective communication between the barangays. The researchers used developmental type of research method that includes the systematic process of designing, developing the prototype and evaluating instructional programs, processes, and products that must meet criteria of internal consistency and effectiveness. After several testing undergone by the system, the researchers found out that the new technological advancement can be utilized to make the emergency response better and efficient. The developed system can monitor the status and track the location of the emergency vehicle within the barangays. It provides an effective communication between the barangays and the residents thru web chat and SMS request log. With the use of GSM modem, the proponents are able to develop a system that can receive and respond to SMS requests of registered residents.
