Discipline: electrical and electronic engineering
Nowadays, students use technology as part of academic purposes especially in engineering. They tend to use different microcontrollers to study courses like circuit theory, advance logic and systems architecture and logic circuit. The purpose of this project is to design and develop an FPGAbased combinational and sequential logic circuit trainer where the students can practice and apply the knowledge they learned in relation to the courses. This device includes the logic gates, flip flops, latches, and so on. Having this trainer kit will enhance the student’s expertise to understand more about the behaviour and structure of the FPGA. The researchers used the Developmental method of research in order to assess the changes in a particular approach to study. The programming language used is Verilog High Definition Language that run in Quartus II software and ModelSim for simulating the programs. The design project’s performance was tested and evaluated through users and expert’s evaluation. The faculty and students of engineering of Pamantasan ng Cabuyao will be the beneficiary of the design project.
