Design and Development of Web -Based Computer-Aided Instruction for Grade 3 Mathematics Students

Abstract:

The purpose of the research wa s to develop a com puter-aid ed instruction for g rade 3 m athem atics stud ents that can help som ehow to the parents, students, and teachers to face the challenges in educatio n during the pandem ic situation. It aim ed to provide solutions regarding to the problem s encountered by the a cadem e of Pulo Elem entary School in term s of content delivery of lessons, learning experience of the students, m onitoring and assessm ent to students’ perfo rm ance, and generation of reports. The resea rch study was a descriptive typ e which fo cused on collecting data and insights from the client tha t help the researchers to develop the system . Based on findings, the criteria used in evaluation by the web experts and end -users bo th receive 4.0 as m edian which im plies that the respondents agree that the CAI pro vides the need ed features of the user und er different criterion. However, there are som e of the indicators receive a significan t num ber of respondents in undecid ed and disagree which m ust be taken care of. Although, CAI can be accessed and use p roperly given the right resources, the resea rchers concluded that there are som e area s in the p roposed system that need s to im prove for b etter user exp erience.
