Abstract:
This study aimed to explore the relationship of
resilience towards quality of life and psychological wellbeing of elders in selected barangays in the City of Cabuyao,
Laguna. This was done using quantitative method where it
focuses on gathering numerical data and generalizing it across
groups of people or to explain a particular phenomenon. The
researchers conducted a survey in different areas in City of
Cabuyao to gather information. The respondents’ elders
answered the survey questionnaires by checking the columns
that corresponds to their desired answer. Scores on all
variables were tested and correlated and the mean scores,
frequency and percentage distribution, and Pearson productmoment correlation coefficients were computed. Results
showed that there is no significant relationship on resilience
towards quality of life and psychological well-being of the
respondents. Thus, the researchers recommend for a more indepth study in which this could be a great help, to share
knowledge about the life of boomers in the relationship of
quality of life, resilience and psychological well-being.
Implications were given by the researchers to help the future
researchers by giving them additional reference which they
may use in their future study.
