A Tracer Study on the Graduates of Universidad de Zamboanga School of Education, Arts and Sciences from School Year 2014-2018

Abstract:
The study determined the current employment status of the
Bachelor of Secondary Education graduates of Universidad de
Zamboanga from 2014- 2018. Specifically, it answered the
following questions: What is the general profile of the
respondents? What is the employment profile of the respondents?
What competencies learned in college did the respondents find
useful in their first job? What are the implications of the findings
of the study in enhancing the curriculum of the Bachelor of
Secondary Education? The study employed the descriptivequantitative method of research to gather data on the tracer
baseline data were employed or not. The findings imply that not
all graduates pursue a career in education, that financial reasons
are taken into account in professional development, and that
interpersonal skills are vital in attaining better opportunities.
From these findings, the study regular tracer studies on the job
status of BSEd graduates from Batch 2014-2018 and subsequent
batches and graduates should be conducted by school officials.
They must continue to adapt and implement initiatives to satisfy
the needs of future batches and graduates. To be more receptive
to learners from diverse backgrounds. Courses on teaching
strategies and techniques should be added to the curriculum. The
BSED program should provide more opportunities for BSEd
students to apply their newly acquired theories and concepts in
the classroom.
