Abstract:

This study explored the relationship between instructional leadership, students' achievement, and attitudes in National High Schools in Ormoc City for the 2016-2017 school year. A descriptive survey method was used, with questionnaires distributed to 220 teachers, 14 principals, and 216 students. The research found a significant relationship between demographic profile, instructional leadership, teaching effectiveness, and classroom management. Personal and professional demographic profiles also influenced teaching effectiveness and classroom management. However, classroom management did not significantly impact students' achievement in English, Science, and Mathematics subjects. Mathematics achievement was significantly related to overall student achievement in these subjects. The study recommends updating the ESM program/curriculum, updating teachers' instructional requirements, and fostering strong coordination and empowerment of stakeholders.
