Challenges of Online Learning Experienced by Respiratory Therapy Third-Year Students of Universidad De Zamboanga

Abstract:

This quantitative-descriptive study was conducted to identify the challenges of online learning experienced among Respiratory Therapy third year students of Universidad de Zamboanga. Specifically, the following questionnaire answered: the intrinsic challenge of online learning as perceived by the respondents in terms of staying motivated, time management, confidence and building trust; the extrinsic challenge of online learning as perceived by the respondents in terms of network connection and environmental setting; is there a significant difference in the level of challenges of online learning as experienced by the respondents in terms of intrinsic and extrinsic; is there a significant difference in the extrinsic and intrinsic aspects of challenges of online learning as experience by the respondents when they are grouped according to section , sex and age. The results revealed that the level of intrinsic challenges of online learning as experienced by the respondents in terms of staying motivated is low, whereas the level of extrinsic motivation of the respondents in terms of networking connections is moderately high and low in terms of environmental setting. Furthermore, it was also revealed that there is no significant difference in the level of challenges of online learning as experienced by the respondents in terms of intrinsic and extrinsic as well as in the extrinsic and intrinsic aspects of challenges of online learning as experience by the respondents when they are grouped according to section, sex and age.
