Comparative Analysis of Academic Performance of Nursing Students in Online Versus Face to Face Class

Abstract:

This study aimed to determine the academic performance among Nursing students in online and face to face class of School of Allied Medicine of Universidad de Zamboanga. Specifically, it sought to investigate the following: (1) the academic performance of the respondents, and (2) the significant difference of academic performance of respondents in online and face to face class. The data collected were treated statistically using mean, frequency count and percentage, ttest and one way analysis of variance (ANOVA). The results revealed that majority of the respondents were from level 3 and majority of the respondent’s gender were female from level 3 and 4. Most of the respondents need improvement in their academic performance in face to face, and most of the respondent’s academic performance in online has to be maintained and give more effort with their studies to get a higher remark of grades and lastly. There is a significant difference in academic performance of the respondents in face to face and online class.
