Creating an Enthusiastic and Lively Learning Environment: An Exploration of Instructional Design Theory

Abstract:
This study investigates the claim that drama and arts, when used as instructional tools,
can contribute to more effective learning among students. Guided by an instructional
design framework, the study explores how drama and arts function as a medium for
classroom instruction to facilitate effective learning. Employing a descriptive qualitative
research design, the study seeks to understand the experiences of Grade 9 learners at
Balibago Integrated High School in Santa Rosa, Laguna, regarding the use of drama and
arts in the classroom. Through analysis of learner experiences, the study identifies specific
factors that make drama and arts effective instructional tools, fostering a more engaging
and lively learning environment. The findings suggest that drama and arts can be valuable
tools for educators seeking to enhance student learning.
