Abstract:

Those who have dismissed McLuhan as a thing of the past ought to take a second look at his 1962 assertion that the medium is the message. Today, with the Information Superhighway dominating society, it is hard to deny that we are being" shaped more by the nature of the medium by which men communicate than by the content of the communication" (McLuhan & Fiore 6).
