Abstract:

ABSTRACT A green curriculum equips students with environmental awareness and accountability for sustainable practices. This study examines the significant differences in respondents' psychographic characteristics regarding their perception of integrating green concepts into Core/Major/Specialized Subjects, General Education Subjects, and Business Core Subjects in the Tourism Management curriculum. It also explores the relationship between the existing curriculum and green practices. A self-made questionnaire was used for data collection, with responses analyzed using analysis of variance to test significant differences and correlation analysis to determine relationship between the curriculum and green practices. Findings reveal that respondents' psychographic profiles significantly influence their perception of integrating green practices. The existing curriculum aligns with green principles, particularly in Core and Major Subjects, while General Education Subjects show weaker alignment. This study provides insights for incorporating green concepts into the Tourism Management curriculum. The proposed course content plan aims to enhance sustainability education and promote environmentally responsible practices in tourism.
