Effects Of Social Media Among Registered Nurses

Abstract:

This study determined the effects of social media among registered nurses in selected private and public hospitals of Eastern Pangasinan. It dealt with the personal profile of the respondents, which includes their age, gender, civil status, highest educational attainment, area of assignment, number of years in service, social media platform, and average hours used in social media. It tackled the effects of social media in physical, psychological, and social aspects. The study employed a descriptive research design, and various statistical tools, including frequency and percentage analysis, t-tests, weighted mean calculation, and analysis of variance (ANOVA), were utilized for data analysis. Most respondents were young adults, female-dominated, into marital status, bachelor's degree holders, mainly those in the emergency room and Medical ward, had been in the service for long years, utilized Facebook, and used social media for few hours in a day.
