Abstract:
This study examines the job satisfaction and well-being of operating room (OR) staff nurses in
selected private hospitals in Metro Manila. Utilizing a descriptive-correlational research design,
data were gathered from 27 OR nurses with at least six months of employment. Findings
indicate high staffing, workload, and work environment satisfaction, while salary and benefits
received lower satisfaction scores. Well-being analysis revealed positive outcomes in mental,
emotional, social, and spiritual domains but lower physical well-being scores, particularly in
diet and rest. A significant positive correlation (r = 0.732) was found between job satisfaction
and well-being. The study underscores the need for enhanced compensation structures,
workload management, and well-being support to improve nurse retention and patient care
quality.
