Web-Based Vehicle Monitoring System of Mindanao State University Lanao Del Norte Agricultural College

Abstract:

The paper presents the development and implementation of a Web-Based Vehicle Monitoring System at Mindanao State University-Lanao del Norte Agricultural College (MSU-LNAC). The current manual system, characterized by pen-and-logbook entries, is inefficient, prone to errors, and time-consuming. The proposed solution leverages QR code technology and SMS notifications to automate and streamline the monitoring process, enhancing both accuracy and efficiency. The system's development follows the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using the waterfall model, ensuring a structured approach from requirement gathering to deployment. Key objectives include optimizing operations, improving data accuracy, reducing processing time, and enhancing security measures. The system's effectiveness and user satisfaction were evaluated through questionnaires, yielding high satisfaction scores among users. This research underscores the significance of integrating technology into campus security and administrative processes, offering a scalable solution for similar institutional environments. The study concludes with recommendations for future improvements, such as integrating the system with mobile platforms and enhancing database normalization and security features.
