Effectiveness of Positive Reinforcement and Learning Performance among IP Learners

Oliver M. Celestino

Discipline: Education

Abstract:

This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of positive reinforcement among IP learners in terms of incentives, extra privileges, and public recognition, as well as the degree of learning performance among I.P learners. This study employed a descriptive-correlational research method to investigate the impacts of positive reinforcement on student outcomes in District VIII, Division of Valencia City, during the School Year 2024-2025. The findings demonstrated that the effectiveness of positive reinforcement among IP learners in terms of prizes, extra privileges, and public acknowledgment was very high. Furthermore, IP Learners showed very high levels of learning performance. The findings demonstrated a substantial association between the efficiency of positive reinforcement and learners' performance. These findings show that educators should continue to apply and improve these tactics to maintain motivation among IP learners. To achieve diversity and long-term involvement, schools and teachers should use a variety of culturally relevant rewards, privileges, and recognition techniques. Further, these reinforcement mechanisms should be evaluated regularly to fine-tune in response to learners' changing needs and preferences. To sustain and improve the excellent learning performance of IP students, educators should continue to use successful teaching methods while incorporating more culturally relevant and learner-centered approaches. Continuous assistance through mentorship, learning resources, and community involvement can help them increase academic achievement. Furthermore, regular assessments should be undertaken to identify areas for improvement and verify that educational practices continue to meet their needs.
