Abstract:

The Triala Transportation System is an online booking platform created to improve accessibility and efficiency of transportation in Barangay Triala, Guimba, Nueva Ecija. This research paper discusses the development and implementation of the system that aims to address key mobility challenges such as long waiting time, unreliable transport, and issues on accessibility. The system would allow for easy registration and booking processes, thereby ensuring convenience on the part of the residents but at the same time ensuring security through barangay administration oversight. Using a Descriptive-Developmental research design, the study evaluates the TrialaTS based on the ISO 25010 software quality standards: functional suitability, usability, security, and reliability. In addition, user acceptance is measured through the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), considering perceived ease of use and usefulness. A structured development approach using the Agile (Scrum) methodology ensures continuous improvement and user-centered design. Findings indicate that the TrialaTS significantly improves transportation accessibility, reduces wait times, and enhances commuter convenience. The platform also benefits drivers by providing a more stable source of income and a structured booking system. Community feedback highlights a strong acceptance of the system, reinforcing its potential for sustainable integration into local transportation infrastructure. This study contributes to the advancement of digital transportation solutions in rural areas, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, by promoting efficient, safe, and inclusive mobility. Future enhancements may focus on system scalability, real-time tracking, and integration with broader transportation networks to further improve user experience and service reliability.
