A strange delirium afflicts Sarah, bidden by music from long ago.

 

After a solitary lunch she went to the backyard. Carefully, unhurriedly, as if she was going to perform some ancient ritual, she piled dry twigs and leaves, made a hole in the middle of the pile, and lighted a match stick.
