Jessie Ann Gomez | Johnny Bantulo

Discipline: Education

Abstract:

This study sought to determine the extent of resilience of 119 Grade V public-school teachers in Labangal District in the school year 2022-2023 as a basis for an intervention program. This study employed quantitative research utilizing a descriptive-survey research design. Slovin’s Formula sampling design was utilized to get the desired sample of the respondents. Mean was used to analyze the data. Based on the findings of the study, among the three schools in Labangal District, the extent of teachers’ resilience in terms of social skills and peer support was often manifested, which indicates a high level of teachers' resilience, while sometimes manifested in terms of spiritual influences, social skills and peer support, and personal competencies and persistence which indicate moderately high teachers’ resilience. Nevertheless, teachers' resilience lies in their ability to adapt, overcome challenges, and inspire students to persevere in adversity, fostering a positive learning environment.
