Reading Enhancement Worksheets in English for Grade 8 Students

Abstract:

This study attempted to develop and evaluate Reading Enhancement Worksheets in English for Grade 8 Students at San Jose National High School, in the Schools Division of Antipolo during the School Year 2023-2024.This further aimed to enhance the reading comprehension skills of Grade 8 students at San Jose National High School. Descriptive method of research using a researcher-made survey questionnaire as the main research instrument was employed in this paper. Fifteen (15) English teachers and fifteen (15) English Master Teachers were asked to assess the develop reading material. Based on the findings, The English teachers and Master Teachers evaluated the developed Reading Enhancement Worksheets in terms of all parts as Very Satisfactory showing no significant difference between the evaluations of the two groups of respondents. The respondents provided comments and suggestions to further enhance the developed learning material.
