Abstract:

The need for financial assistance has been more pressing in the country during the post-pandemic period. Students have been looking for ways to keep up with the increasing tuition fees while being able to focus on their studies. Student loans are an option for funding their education. This study aims to determine the perceived level of awareness of College of Business Administration students of the University of the East - Manila on student loans. This study is a quantitative research method and a descriptive research design. A stratified random sampling was used to determine the number of respondents from the five programs under the College of Business Administration's first and second year students. The survey questionnaire was distributed through Google Forms and hard copies to gather data. According to the 257 respondents, the results show that they are fairly knowledgeable about student loans. It was also concluded that students gather more information on these loans through social media. However, results also show that the respondents are not aware of the university's partnership with other lending institutions due to lack of promotion.
