Kakayahan sa Sarili sa Paggamit ng Wikang Filipino ng mga Mag-Aaral sa Bsed Filipino: Isang Convergent Parallel na Pag-Aaral

Abstract:

Ang pag-aaral na ito ay gumamit ng mixed-method na pamamaraan na sumusuri sa kakayahan sa sarili sa paggamit ng wikang Filipino ng mga mag-aaral sa BSED-Filipino. Kung saan, ginamit ang isang convergent parallel na disenyo dahil nakakalap ito ng iba-iba at komplementaryong data sa parehong paksa. Sa kwantitatibong bahagi, mayroong 154 na mga mag-aaral ang tumugon sa pag-aaral, at 14 naman ang sa kwalitatibong bahagi. Ang mga resulta ay nagsisiwalat na ang antas ng kakayahan sa sarili sa paggamit ng wikang Filipino ng mga mag-aaral ay napakataas pati na rin ang tungkol sa kanilang karanasan at pananaw sa kanilang kakayahan sa sarili sa paggamit ng wikang Filipino na may natuklasang tatlong pangunahing tema; kahalagahan ng kumpiyansa at wastong paggamit ng wika sa epektibong komunikasyon, ang wikang Filipino bilang susi sa epektibong komunikasyon, edukasyon, at pakikipag-ugnayan, at wikang Filipino bilang pagpapahalaga sa kultura at pagpapabuti ng kasanayan sa wika. Ang integrasyon ng data sa parehong kwantitatibo at kwalitatibo na mga resulta ng data ay nagpahiwatig na mayroong convergent ng mga natuklasan mula sa parehong uri ng data. Ang mixed methods na pananaliksik ay mahalaga dahil ito ay nagbibigay-daan sa mas malalim na pagsusuri at higit pang pag-unawa sa paksa ng pag-aaral. Sa pamamagitan ng maayos na pagsasanib ng mga kantitatibo at kwalitatibong pamamaraan, ang disenyong ito ay naglalayong magbigay ng mas komprehensibo at holistikong pananaw, inihahayag ang mga komplikasyon ng paksa, pinatitibay ang bisa at kredibilidad ng resulta, at nagtataguyod ng interdisiplinaryong kolaborasyon. Ang disenyo ng convergent paralel na kombinasyon ng pamaraan ng mixed-methods ang gagamitin sa pagsusuring ito. Sa pamamagitan ng pagsasama ng kwantitatibong at kwalitatibong pamamaraan, ang mixed methods ay magiging kapaki-pakinabang (Creswell, 2009). Ang pagkakasama ng kwantitatibong at kwalitatibong pananaliksik ay makakatulong sa pagbuo ng mga scalesat indices para sa survey items, magbigay ng mga halimbawa ng case study, at magamit upang mapatunayan ang datos ng survey, suriin ang mga statistical relationship, maunawaan ang mga komplikadong sagot, at tiyakin ang mga resulta ng survey. Ang antas ng kakayahan sa sarili ng paggamit ng wikang Filipino ng mga mag-aaral sa BSEd Filipino ay mayroong kabuoang mean na 4.31 na may deskriptibong interpretasyon na napakataas. Ito ay nagpapahiwatig na ang mga mag-aaral sa BSEd Filipino ng KCAST ay nagpapakita na mayroong napakataas na antas ng kakayahan sa sarili sa paggamit ng wikang Filipino sa aspekto ng kasanayan sa pagbasa, kasanayan sa pagsulat, kasanayan sa pakikinig, at kasanayan sa pagsasalita. Ang unang indicator ay kasanayan sa pagbasa na may napakataas na deskripsyon, na nangangahulugang ito ay palaging naipapakita ng mga kalahok sa pag-aaral. Ang pangalawang indicator ay ang kasanayan sa pagsusulat na may napakataas na deskripsyon, na nangangahulugang ito ay palaging naipapakita ng mga kalahok sa pag-aaral. Ang ikatlong indicator ay ang kasanayan sa pagsasalita na may mataas deskripsyon, na nangangahulugang ito ay madalas na naipapakita ng mga kalahok sa pag-aaral. Ang pang-apat at panghuling indicator ay ang kasanayan sa pakikinig na may napakataas na deskripsyon, na nangangahulugang ito ay palaging naipapakita ng mga kalahok sa pag-aaral. Sa kabuuan, ang pagsasama ng data mula sa mga mahalagang natuklasan sa kwantitatibo at kwalitatibong bahagi ay nagpakita ng pagkakatugma sa mga resulta na nakuha mula sa mga tugon ng mga respondente.
