Kilusang Propetikong Adbentista (KPA): Kasaysayan ng Milinaryang Kilusan sa Iglesyang Seventh-Day Adventist (SDA) sa Pilipinas, 1994-Kasalukuyan

Abstrak:

Ang Kilusang Propetikong Adbentista (KPA) ay isang milinaryang kilusang lumabas sa Iglesyang Seventh-Day Adventist (SDA) sa Pilipinas noong dekada 90 dahil sa paniniwalang tumalikod na ang madre iglesia na SDA sa mga pamantayan at mensahe na ipinagkaloob sa kanya bilang “Bayan ng Diyos.” Layunin ng pag-aaral na maunawaan ang naging kasaysayan ng KPA – ang pag-usbong, ang paglago, at ang pagbabago sa mga dala-dalang milinaryang mensahe nito mula taong 1994 hanggang sa kasalukuyan. Binubuo ng tatlong bahagi ang pagaaral: 1. pagtalakay sa mga salik at prosesong historikal na nagbunsod sa paglitaw ng KPA sa loob ng Iglesyang SDA sa bansa; 2. paglahad sa kasaysayan ng KPA (binubuo ng apat na yugto: unang yugto – pormasyon, 1994-1998; ikalawang yugto – paglago ng kilusan sa Kabisayaan at Kamindanawan, 1998-2001; ikatlong yugto – pagharap sa krisis ng pagkabigo, 2001-2003; at ikaapat na yugto – pagpapatuloy sa pagtuklas ng mga “bagong liwanag” sa panahong pinaniniwalaang sarado na ang awa, 2003-kasalukuyan); at 3. pagtalakay sa mga mensahe at praktis ng KPA na may aspekto ng pagka-Pilipino. Napatunayan ng saliksik na hindi lamang sa mga relihiyong Katoliko, Budismo, Hinduismo, at Islam naganap/nagaganap ang paghiwalay, bagkus sa tulad din ng isang Protestanteng denominasyon gaya ng Iglesyang SDA. Isang ikutang pangyayari ang ginawang pagpopook, pagsasakonteksto, at pag-aangkin ng KPA sa panlabas na kaisipang panrelihiyon ng Iglesyang SDA lalong-lalo na ang kanyang paggamit sa diskurso ng tagna/propesiya upang isingkaw mula rito ang ukol sa paghahanap ng ideya ng “bagong liwanag,” “sugo,” at “huling bayan.”
