Abstract:
Some antihypertensive drugs containing reserpine, hydrochlorothiazide, Bendroflumethiazide, mefrusside and inositol isonicotinate were studied to determine their tendency to affect the structure of DNA. The DNA damaging interactions of reserpine was suggested by its inhibitory effect on the growth of recombination repair deficient strain of bacillus subtilis
