Mula sa Mahiwagang Tinig Tungo sa Makapangyarihang Pahayag: Ang Institusyonal na Kasaysayan ng Samahang El Shaddai

Abstract:

Hinangad ng pananaliksik na ito na maugat ang institusyonal na kasaysayan ng samahang El Shaddai na patuloy na umiiral bilang pinakamalawak na charismatic movement sa buong Pilipinas. Nahahati sa limang bahagi ang pagtalakay sa papel: (1) Si Bro. Mike bilang tagapagtatag ng El Shaddai, (2) Ang Dekada ng Paghuhubog (1984-1994), (3) Ang Dekada ng Pagpapalawak (1994-2004), (4) Ang Dekada ng Pagpapalalim (2004-2014), at (5) Ang Dekada ng Pagpapatibay (2014-2024). Ginamit bilang pamamaraan ang pasalitang kasaysayan mula sa mga administrador at ilang katuwang ni Velarde noong pinasisimulan ang samahan, at sinusugan ng pansinupang pananaliksik sa mga batis ng impormasyon tulad ng Bagong Liwanang Magazine, mga playback ng Healing Message, Omnibus Code, at ang aklat na isinulat mismo ni Velarde. Napatunayan ng mananaliksik na ang mahiwagang tinig na narinig ni Bro. Mike noong 1978 ay naging isang makapangyarihang pahayag na nagsilbing tulay sa taos-pusong pagsunod ng mga miyembro sa apat na dekada nitong pag-iral sa Simbahang Katolika
