Abstract:

The COVID-19 pandemic has had far-reaching effects, not only disrupting the global economy but also deeply impacting physical, social, and mental well-being. In particular, education—the foundation of national development—has faced unprecedented challenges. The abrupt shift to digital learning environments has posed significant obstacles for both students and teachers as they adapt to new modes of instruction. While online education has emerged as a vital alternative, enabling continued learning through technology, questions persist about its effectiveness and long-term implications. This study seeks to examine the impact of leveraging students’ prior experiences in online discussions as a foundation for integrating new knowledge. By exploring how prior knowledge contributes to deeper engagement and enhanced learning outcomes, the study aims to provide insight into whether online education serves as a sustainable and effective tool for student development in the post-pandemic era.
