Abstract:
Innovative pedagogical interventions are crucial for enhancing classroom conditions, particularly for student learners
facing diverse challenges. Teachers implement these strategies based on the specific needs and readiness of their students to
create a more engaging learning environment. This study aimed to introduce the 7E Learning Cycle model into the academic
experiences of Grade 10 students. The 7E model, which includes Engagement, Exploration, Explanation, Elaboration, Evaluation,
and Extension, promotes active participation and deeper understanding. A series of planned activities were conducted using a
quasi-experimental research design to assess the model's impact on students' academic performance. The findings revealed that
the 7E Learning Cycle model, when used as an intervention program, is a promising tool for improving academic performance.
The structured approach encourages students to engage with the material, explore concepts through hands-on activities, and
reflect on their learning, contributing to enhanced academic outcomes. While the model effectively fosters academic
improvement, it did not significantly account for variations in age and learning abilities among the respondents. This indicates
that, although the 7E Learning Cycle model is beneficial, additional considerations may be necessary to tailor interventions that
address the diverse developmental stages and individual learning needs of students. Thus, the research highlights the potential
of innovative pedagogical strategies like the 7E Learning Cycle model to transform educational practices and improve student
outcomes while emphasizing the need for ongoing adaptation to meet varied learner needs.
