Discipline: Education Administration
This study assesses correlates of the results of the hiring tests given by the Ateneo de Davao High School to its teacher applicants with their teaching performance when hired. Data were grouped according to: probationary teachers; teachers with education degree; teachers with non-education degree; male probationary teachers and; female probationary teachers. The findings affirm that teacher-applicants who are education graduates can perform better than non-education graduates. Future studies may examine the correlates of results of interviews and teaching demonstration on the applicants’ teaching performance when hired.
