The designed project intended to give Bayan Telecommunications (BAYANTEL) a reliable fixed microwave link design from Mt. Landing, Jala-jala, Rizal to BAYANTEL Calamba. This design was planned toward the expansion of the 16E1 traffic capacity of the existing Rizal-Calamba microwave link.
It intended to create a microwave link design with requirements in accordance to the preference of the company and the standards of the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) and other standards related to microwave transmission.
A descriptive type of research which included the fundamental concepts of a particular design necessary to understand the study was applied. On the other hand, the components of the design were determined by conducting path profiling and calculations. The single hop design would be composed of two 10 feet HPX6-74-P1A Andrew Antenna and EW-77 standard waveguide acquired from Andrew Powertools planner and Andrew cable selection tool.
The economic study of the design was taken into consideration to determine the cost effectiveness of the design. Through a series of computations, it was found out that the total investment cost amounted to Php 6,061,017.289, while the total investment yielded at 177.98% Rate of Return after 270 days of operation.
