Marcelino A. Foronda Jr.

Discipline: Social Science

Abstract:

Notice has been made of the existence of materials relating to Philipine history and culture found in repositories outside of the Philippines. Dr. Domingo Abella, an indefatigable researcher who has dedicated years of fruitful research in Philippine and foreign archives, has written a survey of archives abroad where Philippine materials might be found.' In his survey, Abella mentions such Spanish sources as the Archivo General de Indias in Seville, and the Philippine collection of the Colegio de los Padres Agustinos in Valladolid Which, Dr. Abella believes, is the richest Spanish collection in original and manuscript source materials on the Philippines.
