Abstract:

If we accept the concept of Kathleen Kenyou that... the Neolithic is a way of life in which man has discovered means of controlling his environment. Then we can say that now we have arrived at the post Neolithic where man bas succeeded in destroying his environment. Barry Commoner is at heart an ecologist, but he is better known as a scientist. In this book he has a series of chapters that gives us a cheering and frightening insight into what man is doing with science.
