Abstract:

The study aimed to design treatment facilities to treat the wastewater containing Selenium (Se) generated by the Production Department of YKK Philippines Inc.

Based on the interviews conducted with the concerned people, the study found out that the copper black chemical used by the GKB and GTH machines to color the teeth of the zipper produces Se.

The study recommended the use of biological method of treating the wastewater with Se to have a minimal investment cost in the implementation of the solution.
