This study focused on eliminating the oil mist in the generator upper guide bearing assembly of CBK-Power Company Ltd. To meet this objective, feasible and effective solutions were identified and presented.
The study found out that oil mist is present in the generator causing a short circuit in the generator field, thus, leading oil losses to the company.
Three alternative solutions were recommended to solve the existing problem. Design calculations, schematic diagrams, and economic study for each alternative solution were discussed. The study considered factors such as practicality, feasibility, economy, and efficiency to come up with the best alternative solution.
