The Role of Mathematics in the Progress of Physics

Abstract:

The twentieth century may be considered as the golden age of science. The spectacular progress it has made in its various fields is unprecedented in the history of mankind. It was science that helped man conquer the moon and now Mars. It was instrumental in helping man live a more comfortable existence, including remedies to various ailments affecting man.
