Abstract:

In April of 1972, an important administrative decision affecting undergraduate curricular programs of the University was in the process of implementation. The decision had been reached to prune academic units alloted each semester in the existing programs of the different colleges so that they wouldn't exceed, if at all possible, twenty-one units (the maximum number prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Culture).
