Abstract:

De Asis's diary covers the period June 27, 1943, the date of the completion of his six-week intensive program at the Preparatory Institute for Government Scholars to Japan, held at Malacañang, up to October 3, 1944, the date of his return from Japan as a pensionado and future leader in the Philippine Constabulary. (The group left the Philippines on July 9, 1943.)
