This study focused on improving the present design of the residual tester of ATP from manual pressure residual tester to an automated pressure residual tester (APRT).
The present design of pressure residual tester (PRT) was analyzed and evaluated. Sufficient data and information were gathered through interviews, observation, and research. It was analyzed and compared with the present alternatives to the problem involved in the design of PRT.
The study found out that the production of the company will increase by redesigning its current tester. This will also give an advantage on the process of testing the evaporator which is one of the major parts of a car A/C system that would give a better car A/C system performance.
The study recommended three alternative solutions to solve the existing problem. The design computations, schematic diagrams, and economic studies for each solution were identified and discussed
