Abstract:

On the occasion of this Joint Programme of the two historical societies, I join Professor Gabriel F. Fabella and all the officers and members of the two societies in welcoming you all. We hope you will profit most from whatever so little we could offer.

 

It is an important day to the country when we who are engaged in the study of the events of our past get together as we do now, to discuss what should be done to bring out more accomplishments in our field of endeavor. In so far as I am concerned, very little time, if at all, should be devoted to anything except to our primordial business, namely the search for truth, truth about our country.
