Every country has its national hero and other great men. Ancient Rome had its Caesars, and ancient Greece, its Philip of Macedon and Alexander the Great. In less remote times, Spain had its" Charles I and Philip II; France, its King Rey Louis and Napoleon I; the United States, its Washington, Lincoln, and Jefferson; India, its Akbar and Asoka, and in more recent years, Gandhi, and Nehru; Japan, its Meije Emperor; China, its Sun Yat Sen; Mexico, its Suarez; Columbia, its Bolivar; Argentina, its San Martin; Chile, its Bernando O'Higgins; and Russia, its Peter the Great, I van the Terrible and Stalin.
