Abstract:

Writing about pre-history is not an easy task. There are no written records that one can turn to and read like a novel. The researcher discusses Bikol prehistory through the aid of archaeology.

 

Pre-history is that period in time prior to the written accounts after the arrival of the Spaniards in the 16th century. This- in Philippine historical chronology, is often referred to as proto-historic or the forerunner to historical times- i.e., from the 9^th to the 16^th century. Pre-history- then- in the Philippine context. is from the 8^th century A.D. back to the time of the earliest evidence of Bikol man's material and cultural remains.
