Experiences in Preparing the History of Lamut, Ifugao Province

Abstract:

Lamut was one of the barrios of the Municipality of Kiangan before its conversion into a full-fledged municipality in 1959, by virtue of congressional legislation sponsored by the late Congressman Luis Hora of the then Third District of Mountain Province.

This paper presents the experiences and insights of the author in researching and writing the local history of Lamut, which won a prize in a history writing contest sponsored by the Ifugao Provincial Government.
