Discipline: History
The writer left the Philippines on June 23, 1961 and returned on January 31, 1962. He went to the United States by way of Japan, stayed there a little over six months, and returned by way of Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Since the main objective of his trip abroad was to observe current trends in the administration and supervision of teacher education, the writer did not undertake any serious historical researches. But he visited a number of historic places and made some jottings which he wishes to share with the readers of the Journal of History through this article.
