The College of Liberal Arts at De La Salle University-Taft: In Retrospect

Jose Victor D. Jimenez

Abstract:

The Liberal arts at De La Salle University-Taft have come a long way since they were started in 1917 and re-established in 1953. Committed to the ideal of providing the student a “well-rounded education,” the university incorporated the liberal studies not only in the A.B. curriculum, but also in the so-called professional courses in commerce and engineering. The College of Liberal Arts opened degree programs to meet the demands of national development and educational needs of the times.
