Abstract:

Banana beer would be called Musa. The name came from the banana plant family Musacae. Like the common beer in the market, banana beer is yellow- brownish in color, has the aroma of banana, and would be made available in a 330ml bottle with crown capping to ensure that no liquid leaks. The product contents are water, banana, sugar, yeast, and hops.

Musaceae Corporation, which would be situated in Laguna Technopark 1 in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, would market the Banana Beer to four different areas of Laguna, namely, Sta. Rosa, Cabuyao, Calamba, and Los Baños. The project would be profitable for it would supplement the unsatisfied demand of 18,456,219.

The project would cost Php 67,000,000.00 for the first three months of operation including the acquisition of property and equipment, manufacturing costs, selling and administrative expenses, and the contingency cost of 10.12%. The business which would have a 3.54 years payback period would generate a profit of Php 165,127,201.00 on the first 5 years of operation and an internal rate of return of 20.74%, thus making the project feasible.
